Week 3 General Meeting 09/10/19

Hey everyone, and happy week 3! In this week's meeting our main topic was how to create a curriculum vitae (CV) along with a few other announcements.

• Firstly, anybody who is interested in being a part of "Brain Awareness Day 2020", there will be a general interest meeting this Friday in building 5, room 103 at 2pm.
• Another opportunity that was announced was being a "Peer Leader" for a new program called "Sources of Strength". Sources of Strength is an evidence-based comprehensive wellness program that focuses on suicide prevention. The program is based on a relational connections model that uses teams of peer leaders mentored by professional faculty and staff to change peer social norms about help seeking and encourages students to individually assess and develop strengths in their life. Training for peer leaders will take place on Friday, September 20 from 4:30pm-7pm and Saturday, September 21 from 9am-4pm. Both days of training are mandatory for those interested in becoming a peer leader!

  • Psi Chi Membership dues are due by October 8th!
