Successful applicants will be involved in a 1-to-2-year training program involving clinical research experience in a developmental disabilities research lab. Full time Research Assistant position in the Bakkour Memory and Decision Lab at The University of Chicago
The Memory and Decision lab is focused on understanding the cognitive and neural mechanisms by which relational memory guides and is influenced by decision making. To conduct our research, we use a combination of the tools of cognitive neuroscience; namely fMRI, eyetracking, computational modeling, and neuropsychological studies with patients that have known cognitive deficits (e.g., Amnesia, Parkinson’s Disease, Anorexia Nervosa). The Research Assistant/Lab Manager will contribute to the lab both administratively and scientifically. This individual will help develop, maintain, and oversee compliance policies and protocols (IRBs), order lab/office supplies, recruit participants (including patients in coordination with clinical units), maintain participant records (e.g., consent forms, screening forms), maintain the lab website, schedule lab meetings, and perform other day-to-day lab management tasks. In addition to these administrative responsibilities, this individual will also conduct research under the guidance and supervision of the Principal Investigator, Postdoctoral scholars, and/or graduate students in the lab. The Research Assistant will have the opportunity to conduct an independent project (which will involve conceptualization, data collection, analysis, presentation of results, writing, and paper submission). Clinically Oriented Research Assistant - Vanderbilt Psychotic Disorders Program
Full time research assistant needed to join the laboratory of Dr. Julia Sheffield within the Vanderbilt Psychiatric Hospital focused on the study of psychotic disorders. Under direct supervision, the research assistant will be responsible for recruiting research subjects into various clinical research studies and assisting investigators in the collection and analysis of study data.
In particular, the research assistant with help conduct a longitudinal study of delusions. This will require a desire to work directly with individuals who experience psychosis as well as excellent organizational and data management skills. Research Assistant - Cognition and Motivation in Schizophrenia, Bipolar Disorder, and Depression at Washington University in St. Louis
We are looking for a full time research assistant to work on a project examining the neural and psychological causes of problems with motivation in individuals with psychiatric disorders such as schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, and major depression. This work is being conducted in the laboratory of Dr. Deanna Barch at Washington University in St. Louis.

1) have responsibility for testing and scanning participants using task-based functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) and behavioral/cognitive/computerized testing
2) help with preprocessing and quality control of imaging and behavioral data
3) work with a team of other research assistants to assess a large sample of individuals with task and resting state fMRI and behavioral data as part of the project.

Research Study Assistants - Northwestern University
Dr. Stewart Shankman is seeking two research study assistants for his lab at Northwestern University to assist on NIMH and/or industry-funded projects. Broadly, research in the lab examines (a) basic mechanisms and risk factors underlying mood and anxiety disorders, and (b) novel treatments for these conditions. Our lab utilizes multiple methods in this work, including behavioral, physiological, neural, and genetic tools. The Research Assistants will have the opportunity to gain experience in experimental design, recruitment, data collection and analysis. Opportunities for co-authoring manuscripts and conference presentations will also be available. The position will also provide the opportunity to learn about psychophysiological and psychopathological theory and research more broadly.
