Alice Lu — President 
4th year Psychology major with a minor in Business

Psychology interests: Industrial/Organizational Psychology, studying leadership differences among genders and cultural in organizations.

Hobbies: Reading science fiction novels, playing video games, and Netflix!

Bronco Tutor for the Learning Resource Center and Peer Advisor/Mentor for the Reading, Advising and Mentoring Program. 
Summer Human Resources Intern in Workforce Development Unit at the Santa Clara Water Valley District. 
Research assistant for Dr. Langford and currently doing my senior project on leadership and gender ​

Psychology interests: Cognitive Psychology, Clinical Psychology, Counseling Psychology, School Psychology

Hobbies: Hiking, baking, Netflixing, practicing ASL. 

Experience: Research assistant for Dr. Rossi. In the process of developing a study focusing on Bimodal Bilinguals. Specifically the use of American Sign Language (ASL) and English interpreting. Involved in the Sign Language Interpreting Program at Mt. San Antonio College. 

Two truths and one lie: 
I find tres leches cake disgusting.
I have not seen any of the Star Wars movies and refuse to watch them.
I love Disneyland.

Psychology interests: Abnormal Psychology & Psychoactive drugs (leaning more towards Psychiatry). 

Hobbies: Tennis, yoga, MMA, hiking, and camping. 

Experience: Melanoma Awareness Project of the Desert, attending medical missions to China, Peru, and Nicaragua with non profit organizations including International Medical Alliance Helps and Helping Hands.

4th year Psychology major with minors in Marketing Management and Organizational Communication

Hobbies: Analyzing people. attempting to dance, networking, enjoying solitude, exploring music, going on YouTube tangents, hiking/camping, saving the environment, practicing marketing skills, photography.

Experience: Changing majors, Mandarin, cross-cultural adjustment, photography/photoshop​

This one time, I electrocuted my finger with a lamp. 
This one time, I made lip contact with a cockroach.

Tonie Nguyen — Fundraising Chair
4th year Psychology Major

"You can make more happen in a year by being interested in others than by trying to get others interested in you."

Psychology interests: Social Psychology, Cognitive Psychology, Neuropsychology (emphasis on psychiatric medications), and IO psychology.

Hobbies: Traveling to places I've never been before as well as eating meals I've never tried, planning future events with loved ones and intimate group gatherings, art history, making art, self care. 

Experience: 2006/2007: Presidential award and Harvey Mudd award for significance in math and science. -Outdated but proud nonetheless :) 2014/2015: Treasurer, then secretary of Chaffey college feminist club. 2011-2014: Receptionist at Upland Rehab and Care Center. 2014-present: Client Services Coordinator, Billing Assistant, and Medical Assistant at Foothills Psychological Center. 

Two truths and one lie: 
I am Vietnamese and Mexican. I can't fluently speak Spanish, but I understand it fluently and can get by, 
When I was 8 years old, I went out on high tide against general precaution and got abused by the sea. 
My second year at Coachella, I told Vanessa Hudgens that Excision was horrible live to start conversation.

I've never had a major injury.

Dr. Erika DeJonghe - Faculty Advisor
Associate Professor
Hometown: Berkeley, CA

Erika DeJonghe, Ph.D. is a licensed clinical psychologist and an associate professor in the Department of Psychology & Sociology at California State Polytechnic University, Pomona. She received her doctorate in clinical psychology from Michigan State University in 2007. Her research interests include the mental health consequences of childhood exposure to intimate partner violence, the intergenerational transmission of intimate partner violence, and the experiences of women faculty in male-dominated disciplines. Her areas of clinical interest include family therapy, play therapy, and child group therapy, with a particular focus on work with children and families recovering from trauma.

What are you listening to Dr. DeJonghe? I have a toddler, so pretty much now all I listen to is the Super Why soundtrack...
