S20 week 1 general meeting

Hi everyone, and welcome back! Hopefully your break was restful and you're ready to take on spring semester!
At our first meeting back, we simply went over a few deadlines for WPA as well as just catching up with everyone. We also did an activity in order to find out who was in each psychology class in order for people to mingle with their classmates and have a friendly face in their class.

Some important deadlines:

• Spring Chapters Dues Deadline: February 25, 2020
• Deadline to Confirm Spot for WPA: January 31, 2020
• Early Registration Deadline for WPA: March 31, 2020
• Deadline to Apply for International Membership: March 24, 2020

WPA Information:

• Location: Hyatt Regency San Francisco
  • ​​This is where the conference is held and where we will be staying
• Dates: April 30th, 2020 - May 3rd, 2020​

Costs:

• Registration Fee: $90 before March 31; $120 on the day of WPA
• Average Hotel Fee: $202.00
• Average Food Cost: $110.00 (Breakfast, lunch, and dinner)
• Average total cost for the trip: $402.00

Funding for WPA:

• Psi Chi will be trying their best in order to reimburse the registration fees for members who paid yearly dues
• WPA Travel Grant
• Office of Undergraduate Research (OUR) Travel Grant
• WPA Convention Student Scholarship
• CPP Admin Fund
