We had Dr. DeJonghe give a brief powerpoint presentation on what to expect at WPA and how to prepare. She spoke about check-in/registration details, the types of sessions/events (for example, poster and paper sessions), and making the most out of the entire trip at WPA.
We then had students speak in more detail about their conference experience. Meice and Anna spoke on the opportunities to take advantage of and the convention program/schedule. Shea spoke on the tips for creating a poster, such as the do's and don'ts of a poster presentation. Beverly spoke on the best practices for a poster session. Kevon spoke on navigating conversations in the right direction and tips on printing posters and cards.
